Every department uses the Human Resources System (HRS) software.  Departments need the ability to acess data on their employees for a variety of reasons.  It is important that at least one person in every department know how to access and understand all functions of HRS.  The HRStar Program is designed to provide that training.

The HRStar Program consists of four comprehensive courses designed to help navigate through the Human Resource System (HRS). Participants can easily complete the program within one year and, with a little planning, the entire program could be completed in six months. Eligibility Requirements:

• All continuous, regular staff within DASNR are eligible if their position requires HRS access. 
• Employee must maintain “good/competent” or equivalent level performance.

 Approved Certification:

• HRStar Program

Courses leading to certification may be paid for by the department as part of the employee’s training plan.  The appropriate unit head or his/her designee must approve training plans prior to scheduled courses to ensure adequate staffing and budgetary considerations.

Pay Incentive:

• $ 75 one-time payment (net).
Increase will be given within 30 days of program completion verification through OSU Training Services.
Multiple completions of the HRStar Program will not result in additional one-time payments.
All program requirements must be fulfilled before a payment can be granted.
Payments are subject to appropriate taxes and withholdings, and FLSA guidelines.
