Basic Research Administration Program

Effective:  July 1, 2010

Land grant universities have three important missions: instruction, extension, and research.  These are interrelated functions and each serves to strengthen the others.  A successful research project requires input and oversight from a variety of individuals at all levels of the university. The Basic Research Administration Program provides training in skills needed to perform these tasks.

The Basic Research Administration Program consists of 12 seminars, approximately 25 hours, which must be completed in three years from the date of your first class. Click here for a description of the courses.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • All continuous, regular nonexempt staff within DASNR are eligible.
  • Employee must maintain “good/competent” or equivalent level performance.
